Established in 1872 by Mother Cornelia Connelly as part of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, Mayfield School is now one of the most respected Catholic independent girls’ schools in the country.
In 2009 a leading Catholic independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18, set in the beautiful Sussex countryside requested help to minimise electricity and gas costs over several sites. The market was becoming more complicated with many new energy components being introduced, hence evaluating suppliers offers on a like for like basis had become very complex.
What we did
We contacted the existing energy suppliers for each individual electricity and gas meter and collated information to establish a detailed portfolio of every building and meter point, including both consumption and charging rates. This enabled Mayfield School to accurately understand the overall cost and usage by each fuel.
The portfolio also identified different contract end dates, therefore our first tender corrected this situation by including staggered start dates with a common end date. With a changing portfolio of over 16 meters, we continue to provide ongoing management of all energy queries identified.
